On 2/9/15, I hired GA Water Heaters to replace a water heater. A few hours post-repair, I came home to a broken pipe that flooded my garage and caused a pool of water in the cul-de-sac, which is 5 houses away. This gush of water caused damage to dry-wall and extensive miscellaneous personal property.

I contacted the owner Frank S. after the Fire Dpt. left, and he wanted to send someone the next day to fix the pipe, after knowing that the main water valve had been shut. I was adamant that there be a fix ASAP, and he sent the same contractor to fix the broken pipe. The contractor admitted that he didn't apply enough glue to the PVC pipe and being unapologetic, stated that these things sometimes happen in the plumbing world.

Upon several of my requests, Frank S. has refused to come survey the damages. Upon asking that he have his insurance company come assess the damages, I received push back. To date, Frank has refused to furnish insurance information; insisting that I allow his company to replace the dry-wall and that I air dry the electronic items such as printers, space heaters, etc...

He said this is something he did all the time; and upon allowing electric equipment to dry, they work "as good as new", once plugged. After the fact, I checked with the Professional Licensing Board Division and found that Frank S. is not a licensed plumber. Hopefully, his contractors are.

To date, Frank continues to claim not to know the name or telephone number of his insurance company. I have since, filed reports/complaints with the Police, BBB, and Governor's Office of Consumer Protection.

Without any reservation, I don't recommend this company. They are not professional, and it is questionable that they are insured. Lesson learned when dealing with plumbers in the future: check licensing information through the Professional Licensing Board Division, obtain insurance information prior to any work being done, check reviews, and ask for verifiable references.
