Gables Residential Kept apartment deposit, lied to customer, ripoff, abused & mistreated, deceptive company, false promises, mistreated and ripped off, ripoff liars victimized us tricked and lied to us Weston Florida

Gables Residential's Weston, Florida property lied and decieved us. We had in good faith paid a $600 deposit for an apartment. Extenuating circumstances with the sale of our home forced us to delay moving into this apartment community. We were told that although we could not get a refund for our deposit after 72 hours, we could come back when we were ready and would not have to pay the applicaton fee or deposit again.

It has been 8 months and we are selling our home finally. After visiting the San Michelle property again to get a new date for moving in, we were told by the new manager (a very rude and obnoxious woman at that) that they could not honor our previous deposit and would have to pay $199 to reserve the apartment. When I explained our situation and what we were told by our representative (who is no longer with the company according to them), the best they could do was $99. Yet we had already paid almost 3 times that amount previously and were willing to give them our business.

The bottom line, they have lied to us and stolen our money. They are using the former employee as a scape goat and claiming the employee was not authorized to make such an offer. Well, as the customer - does that mean that a repesentative of the company can't speak for the company and we have to deal with executive management every time? I think not.

I would strongly advise anyone in th market for an apartment to look elsewhere and not give these thieves your business. It is unthinkable that they could turn down busines in this economy, but rest assured...they won't be getting my business or anyone I know EVER.
