BUYERS BEWARE of Gadget Circuits Fraudulent business practices!!!  On July 23rd of 2013 I purchsed a NEW Logitech H-900 from gadget Circuit for $303.00. which included a 1 year warranty.  I installed it in my clients home, registered it and everything was fine....until I received a phone call on June 26th from my client.  She informed me that the remote stopped working and there was an error message on the screen.

I told my client to call Logitech as it was covered under warranty.  I was then called again shortly thereafter and my customer told me that Logitech informed her that the remote was used and thus not covered under warranty.  I then called Logitech myself and they confirmed what they had told my customer.

Next I emailed Gadget Circuit on the 27th of June as they were closed for the weekend.  I explained my situation and asked for a return call or email.  1 week later, on July 3rd, after no response from Gadget Circuit I called them and spoke with Julia.  She told me that the remote was indeed new and was covered under warranty.  I asked her for a copy of my Invoice as I didn't receive one when I made the purchase.  She did send me the invoice which I was able to use later.

Next I called Logitech again and was on the phone with them for HOURS throughout the next 10 days.  They informed me that there were actually 2 prior owners of that remote.  Each remote has an individual number which is used when you register it online.  There are no copies and no room for mistakes.  The remote was originally registered on May 15th of 2012!!!  Next to a new owner on July 3rd and then finally to my customer in August after I installed it.  They would absolutely not cover it under warranty and I had to go after Gadget Circuit who fraudulently sold it as new.

I again contacted Gadget Circuit on July 9th and once again found myself speaking with Julia.  She said that they were unwilling to do anything as it was past their 90 day return period and she again said it was new.  I told her that Logitech wanted Gadget Circuit to call them with my Ref# to go over the case.  She told me that they were unwilling to do anything.  I finally told her that I would pursue every avenue possible to make sure that I let everyone know what they did, starting with a report to the BBB.

I filed a formal compaint with the BBB and next with Trust Pilot.  I sent both links to Gadget Circuit and immediatly received an email from Trust Pilot that the company in question (Gadget Circuit) asked to have the reveiw taken down until I provide proof of purchase.  Which is probably why I curiously never received an initial invoice.  I again immediatly provided my proof of purchase on the 11th of July.  It's been 4 days and two follow up emails and my review has yet to be re-posted.  Again, quite curious.

Finally I started doing some research and came across a review on here with a good crumb.  I followed the crumbs and did tie Gadget Circuit to the two NY companies that were sued and forced to stop doing business in Texas for fraud and unacceptable business practices.  They were owned by Albert Houllou.  The address for those companies is 245 Belmont Dr. in Somerset NJ.   That addrss is also listed as the address for F&E Trading LLC a company owned by Alber Houllou.   Lastly there is one more company that lists that address, that's right, Gadget Circuit.

I cannot believe it is cooincidental that the complaints filed by consumers of Gadget Circuit mirror the business practices that forced two companies to close, all of which are owned or connected to the same person.  I urge everyone that has similar circumstances to keep dates, times and people spoken with in a notebook or piece of paper.  Then file formal complaints with the BBB and NJ Office of the Attorney General, Division of Consumer Affairs.  This company makes close to $1.5 million a year screwing people over.

In New Jerseey it is called "Consumer Fraud"

The actions of this company fall within the provisions of New Jersey's Consumer Fraud Act.  This allows you to sue for TRIPLE DAMAGES, plus all costs and attorney fees associated with the lawsuit.  I advise you to contact a lawyer immediately who is well versed in such matters and hs experience filing consumer fraud lawsuits.  This sounds like a very strong case with little or no defense, per the facts that you presented.

I can take the case if you want.  Contact me at 908 232 5544 or email me at matt34nj@hotmail.com

BTW,  I don't "troll" ROR for clients, I am too busy for that.  I simply read NJ reports during my few off hours to see what is out there...

Thanks,

Matthew J. McKay, Esq.

Mountainside, NJ
