I came across gamefly, so I decided to pay for a month of it. First, they are super slow with getting your games you put in your queue list sent out to you. Took almost a week every time. When my month was almost over, I decided I should cancel because it's not worth it with the long shipping times.

I was getting ready to get the last game sent back to them that I had and was in a hurry to get out the door and accidentally put one of my own games in the envelope and sent it off to them. I immediately emailed their customer support the next day on Sept 3, 200, because at that time I couldn't find a phone number to contact them.

EMAILS from customer support.

Dear Jenny,

Thank you for letting us know that you sent your own personal game back to us in error. We have updated your account to reflect that your game is inside the sleeve for God of War II. We will send another shipping envelope to you for the return of the game, God of War II.

We highly value you as our member and strive to achieve the highest customer satisfaction possible. With that principle in mind, GameFly is one of the few companies that will always make a reasonable effort to return any non-GameFly property it receives. We will contact you once the game arrives in our facility. Please note, per our Terms of Use, we are not responsible for any losses of or damage to such property while in transit.

We appreciate your attention to this matter and if we can be of further assistance, please let us know.

Sincerely,

GameFly Customer Service

I already sent you a response to me sending one of my own games in place of your god of war 2 game. You said you would send another sleeve to get god of war 2 but what is happening to my game, couldn't it have been shipped back when you shipped the envelope? I don't want mine lost or replaced with a scratched one, because it is brand new.

I never received my game in the mail, So I emailed them again on the 20th asking them what was up with my game. And I get this response

Response (Charles M) 09/21/2008 04:06 PM
Dear Jenny,

We have received your personal property and have sent it back to you on 9/8/2008.

If you have looked at the dates.. the person above said it was there on the 11th of September and it would be shipped out soon. This Charles guy is saying it was shipped out on the 8th. This doesn't make any sense, so they are lying and giving me the runaround.

I emailed them again on the 30th, thinking I would wait a little bit longer to see if it would show up in the mail. But, no.. it didn't.

Okay, you guys have been giving me nothing but the runaround on the issue with me sending out one my own games. You guys said you ship peoples games back and you're one of the only company's that does this. That's a lie right there, I told you guys almost a month ago about this issue and I still have not received my game. I'm starting to get a little irritated and I will never go back to starting the membership again. You guys say one thing yet do another. One girl I talked to said my game was there on the 11th and it would be shipped soon. Then this other guy I talked to about this thru your online email support said my game was shipped the 8th. Well, right there you guys just got busted in a lie. I called you guys up and the person I talked to confirmed my game was there and that it would be shipped out Wednesday. It is now Tuesday, it doesn't take that long to get to me in the mail. Don't try pulling the well maybe it got lost. Because, I don't buy it. I've talked to another person who has been in a similar situation as I and you guys did the same exact thing to him and gave him the runaround. It's getting annoying. I just want my game back and not for you guys to keep it and make money off of it or whatever you guys do with people sending in their own games accidentally.

Still, nothing. I called Gamefly up and asked where my game was. The lady took about 10 min because I think she was reading over the emails to see what had been said because I mentioned that I've been going over this with their online customer support. She then told me (what should have taken a minute) that it was shipped on the 26th. Like, what the last person said in the email. What I don't get is out of all the games that were sent to me, none have went missing. But when it's my own game, they pull the well maybe it got lost in the mail. I don't think so and I ain't buying it one bit.

I contacted Better Business Bureau and should receive a response soon from them. It's sad that this is what it had to come to, but I just want my game back. I have spoken to another person and he had the same exact issues. I know it was silly on my part not to pay attention to the game I sent out.. but they say they are one of the only company's that ships peoples property back to them, which is a LIE.

Just a little caution to you all who have gamefly. Don't send one of your own games back on accident. You will never receive it.
