I Filled out a request for Lavender plants. The AD appeared in a catalogue. The amount for the plant order was $32.48. The check was dated and mailed on 04-04-05. The checked cleared my bank 04/18/05. I have never received the Lavender Plants. I called a phone number I found in a Rip -Off Report -#269-621=2447 and an answering machine answered "ES Enterprizes" and said "please leave your number and we will return your call" NO RETURN CALL.

I think this is a mean scam! I wish something could be done to help people know do NOT EVER buy from GARDENERS CHOICE!

First of all I worked with Gardeners Choice almost 5 years. I liked what I was doing there which was in customer service, you people have NO ideal what its like talking to rude people. We are there to help you not to get yelled and name calling. Most people who orders either order to late and think they should get there plants right then but it don't work that way. We had to send them according to time zones. Sometimes the plants weren't ready to be shipped to the hotter places and when we did ship them they were ok by the time people has gotten them. One thing is if you live in the south don't try to order plants in the middle of summer because your plants will arrive dead if not slimmy, it's the heat that kills them not Gardeners Choice, when they leave the building the plants are green as can be. I am not saying the company is perfect but don't be calling customer service to bash them because its not customer services fault. There are many reasons why you didn't get your plants right away. 1. Your time zone 2. Your check bounced 3. You didn't have a correct address and the packages came back 4. You gave us a wrong credit card number or Expiration date 5. You didn't include you phone number so we could contact you 6. Your order gotten lost in the mail (which happens a lot) 7. You gave us a wrong email address. Hope this answered some of your questions.


I am not saying that its all the customers fault and it isn't but like I said sometimes the plants aren't ready and they have to keep them there for a couple more weeks so they will survive the shipping. What I really hated about the customers is when some of them would call and they would call us every name in the book, which wasn't right, I know your mad but its not like we had magical powers to ship them right out, so NEXT time you talk to customer service don't be calling them names it's not right and you bet I would be the one hanging up on you because noone deserves to be called any kind of names over plants. My solution would be go to your local garden place and get some plants there and then you will be happy. When it comes to refunds it states in the book and ads a one time reship or refund you have your choice and when you have a reship and it comes to you dead again it's not the companies fault thats why we try to give refunds instead. Yes it takes a few weeks to get a refund but we have to make sure everything is right on the checks like the addresses and even on the credit cards. Some people are wondering why I am not working with the company anymore it's because I gotten laid off because of the slow season and I got tired of sitting home so I found another job and just when I gotten that new job then they called me and I told them no I got tired of sitting home so I am with the new job now and I like what I am doing now then have to listen to customers on the phone gripe at us. My new job, I am face to face with customers which is alot better. Thank you for taking the time to read this and hopefully this will help anyone that reads it. If I have forgotten anything that is important I am sure to post it. It's Called Being Patient!!! Thank You Janet.
