I contacted Garfield about sending in an old gold crown for cash. I received a packet of literature and envelope for sending in the crown. Their literature said to expect at least $65 for the crown. They even sent a note with the current price of gold. Then I received the check for $6.83.

The "customer" states that our literature quoted a price for a dental crown. Our literature does not and never has done anything of the sort. We assay all material on site to obtain a valuation. We NEVER quote for dental gold, either by phone, email or advertising. Dental material comes in dozens if not hundreds of alloy combinations and as such must be evaluated in our lab. Dental crowns are not made of pure gold and in many cases are not gold at all. This person should produce evidence or withdraw the complaint. Garfield has enjoyed a reputation for integrity and service for almost 120 years.
