Unfortunately for me its too late, but I received a letter two weeks ago from a company called Gateway Evaluation Services, stating that my application has been accpeted. My first assignment of mystery shopping was to mystery shop the Money Gram representative and evaulate their friendlieness and customer service skills. After completion of the mystery shop I was suppose to call the number back and give them my reference number. This is bogus and they are not a legiimate company although the check is authentic, the account the check is from has insufficient funds and your bank or cashing institution holds you responsible.

When you did not bother the research MYSTERY SHOPPING SCAMS on the internet.
Watch out - now that they scammed you with mystery shopping, you will probably be hit by the LOTTERY SCAM AS WELL
They said you application was accepted - DID YOU ACTUALLY APPLY?
You should have asked the bank to verify the check before you deposited it They would have told it was a scam.
YES You are responsible for giving the money back to the bank - consider yourself lucky you did not get arrested for passing bad checks.
NEVER CASH CHECKS YOU WERE NOT EXPECTING TO RECEIVE AND NEVER WIRE TRANSFER MONEY TO ANYONE YOU DO NOT KNOW.
