I had filed two claims with this company, and they are a rip-off! They even got their membership revoked from the Better Business Bureau.

I purchased a used 95 Chevy Astro Van along with 100,000 mile warranty. I even asked for a refund on the warranty, and they refused. This company takes your money, its a bad investment. Don't be their next victim!

Gateway warranty IS rip-off - Lynn Murphy is a liar.

I have filed my own rip-off report on this website concerning Gateway Management and their Premium 2000 Plus auto warranty.
After reading this post, however, I had to voice my 100% agreement.
I had dealing with Lynn when I tried to file a claim. Even though my warranty ststaes that the pre-existing conditions are those damages which occur BEFORE the initial 90 days/1000 miles are completed (which was accomplished BEFORE I filed a claim)... Gateway STILL claimed that my damage was from "pre-existing" conditions, contrary to what the warranty language states.
They are nothing more than a scam.
Do not buy this warranty and ever expect them to pay for anything.

always trying to find a way, not to honor a warranty

It makes me wonder, why the dealership in which I bought my car has stopped selling/promoting Premium 2000 Plus. This company says it will not cover most vehicles with high milage, but they still will take your money and not give it back. I own two vehicles and always make oil changes within 4000 miles. My Honda Accord with NO Premium 2000 Plus additives has 301,326 miles and has no problems. When I made my first claim on my '95 Chevy Astro van, they denied it. I tried to start an appeal process by calling the company and my calls where not returned. I even sent an email to the president of the company and still had no reply. When I complained to the Better Business Bureau, Lynn Murphy responded to the BBB that she had never heard or received an email from me. Fortunately, I saved a copy after sending the email to her. It recorded the date and time when the email was sent to her. She tried to call me a liar but I proved her wrong. Consumers, beware.

Gateway Management Services, Ltd./Premium 2000 Plus Product Warranty Programs have strict rules regarding servicing and maintaining vehicles they cover. Most covered vehicles have high mileage and many will not qualify for other coverage programs. Thus, in order to keep claims to a reasonable level, which allows the price of the warranty to remain comparitively low, the vehicle owner must service the vehicle every four (4) months or 4,000 miles, whichever occurs first. This requirement seems reasonable especially considering that most vehicle manufacturers and lubricant producers suggest fluid changes every 3,000 miles.
To date the company has paid in excess of $8,000,000 in claims to several thousand claimants for valid claims. The average claim exceeds $1,300 mostly for repairs or replacements of engines or transmissions.
Gateway terminated it's membership with the Better Business Bureau and was given a return of dues, but still works with BBB to resolve complaints.

The Premier policy has very strict wording regarding the maintenance requirements to maintain coverage. It would be my understanding missing one required maintenance may be grounds for declining what may be considered valid claim. It is recommended you read the policy you purchased for more information.
