I applied for credit, and was denied due to "a write off" on my record. After contacting the reporting agency, it showed a "write off" to the company "GECCCC", whom I have never heard of, never received a bill, nor a letter. This was in the 2001-02 year.
I don't even know what city, state or anything whatsoever about this company.
My credit is great except for this mark on my record. We need to band together and speak with an attorney and file a class action law suit. They claim I owe $650. You can't possibly think I could forget about a bill of this size with my great credit history.
