GM Chevrolet Division Chronic Broken Door Handle Scottsdale Arizona

On these 1997 Chevy Suburbans there is a chronic problem with the driver side door latch handle breaking, forcing the driver to roll down the window and open the door using the exterior latch handle. Once repaired by dealer, its only good for another 14 to 18 months. Then it breaks again. There were two of us parked side by side at Circke K and both vehicles had the same problem. No GM replacement parts are warranted for more than 14 months. The Chinese customer service mentality has taken over: all customers are "ah-sos" and are expected to fix it themselves with wire and duct tape. Whatever happened to American Expertise? Sold to China but lost in transit.
