Genesis Collection Marina Fiesta Time Share "Participation" Scam Los Cabos Mexico Internet

My husband and I bought a time share membership in Genesis Collection at Marina Fiesta Resort in Cabo several years ago.  The membership involved annual use of Marina Fiesta for the cost of our annual fees, if used, and participation in the multiple time shares to exchange in the existing Genesis Collection.  We were given a password to get on to the Genesis website which also included "points" to be used to purchase airline tickets or gifts.

 The password worked for a year and then stopped working.  We had been told that our fees covered our membership in Genesis but when we called, we were told we had been shut out because we hadnt paid our annual fee???  We paid the annual Genesis fee but still  could not get on the website and no one at  Genesis returned our calls.  We then noticed that the website had been shut websites, after a web search, we found a new site called Genesis Premier Travel.  Of course, our passwords didnt  work but their "read this" indicated they are now RCI.  

So we make annual payments for a timeshare company we already belong to twice, get no feedback from Genesis, and find there are no available units to rent through Genesis or Genesis Marina Fiesta on RCI.  All changes have been made with no communication to "owner/subscribers".  

It took us several years to realize we had been royally scammed and for our annual use of the member timeshare (they made it clear you don't own, just pay if you use),  two weeks annually at other time shares, involvement in the Genesis collection, points to use for airfare, etc, and the thousands of dollars we spent, what we have is a second membership in RCI which we must pay for through their collection agency annually - as well as our own payment to RCI.  Of course we will stop payment to Genesis - which will leave us with a very, very expensive lesson learned.
