George And Charles Carwash High PRICE, Poor QUALITY, Left with a DIRTY CAR and a SLIMMER WALLET Jacksonville Florida

I went to have my car washed today, September 29, 2006. I asked for the "WORKS". Now, when you ask for "The Works", what does that usually mean? It means you want EVERYTHING. They quoted my price, which was over $27. I thought that was very high, but I wanted a good job done.

When they "supposedly" completed the job, I walked out to check it out. To my surprise (more like shock), the car mats were dirty. The car still had dirt and sand on the floor. The only good thing I can say about it is that the car smelled good. It was a lousy job. I could have done better and washed it and cleaned out the inside myself. As I walked to the office to request a manager, I heard several other people grumbling about their cars, but they just left mad. I had to speak up.

I requested a manager and she informed me that if I wanted to have my mats cleaned it would be almost another $3. I told her that was ridiculous, I had asked for "THE WORKS" and was given this price for "THE WORKS", which was extremely high anyway. She refused to make it right.

I will never go back to George and Charles' Carwash again. They are too high and as I watched the workers vaccum, I realized why they were doing a lousy job. They barely ran that hose along the floors before they were done.

Consumers, Beware! If you want a fair and good job done on your vehicle, don't go there. I left feeling cheated.
I do much better going through the $9 carwash at Duckys. When that automatic carwash didn't work, the manager there gave me coupons for free washes and discounts. And, yes I do my own inside work, but at least the management there backs up their equipment.
