Horrible service department.  Told me Costco Michelin tires are inferior to Toyota tires and that they actually learned that in a workshop with a Toyota representative.  I have a close friend who works at Costco and we went to talk to the tire department, the guy said emphatically this was untrue.  I called the Costco and Michelin corporate offices and was told the same thing.

Germain also claims I needed new front and rear brakes, claims they measured 4mm and that my brake pads could go from 7mm (which they measured in 2018) to 4mm (which they measured in 2019) in the span of one year and 8,000 miles travel on city streets.  Funny, I took the car in to another mechanic to get the rear brakes Germain said I needed and they measured 7mm?!?!?!

I was told I DIDN'T need rear brakes.  Thank goodness this was an honest mechanic. STAY AWAY FROM GERMAIN.

Another Typical Example of a SLIMEBALL Dealership With PHONY FEES!

AUTHOR: The Dog - (United States)

POSTED: Friday, September 06, 2019

This is a bogus, add-on, phony fee dealership where they LIE about this price of a car and make up the difference with a PHONY FEE. Since they very clearly tell you on their website, they have zero integrity and zero honesty, what else would you expect from the service department?

Remember, the FRAUD and DECEPTION which is common place in SLIMEBALL dealerships has now flown into the shop like raw sewage on a downhill street. There is NEVER any reason for you to go to any dealership for non-warranty service unless you want PRICE GOUGING, poor customer service and pretend "mechanics" who are nothing more than parts changers trained to run up the bill.

Get yourself an independent mechanic and buy your tires anywhere else but at a dealership!

What did you expect?

I called the Costco and Michelin corporate offices and was told the same thing.
- What did you expect them to say? "Oh yes, our tires are inferior...Please go buy the Toyota Tires instead".

Funny, I took the car in to another mechanic to get the rear brakes Germain said I needed and they measured 7mm?!?!?!
- So what did the front brakes measure at?
