For Immediate Release - Do not ever use the Getresponse autoresponder!
June 19, 2021 - After reading this horror story, you will NEVER, EVER use getresponse for your autoresponder. I started using getresponse because the program I was trying required it. It’s in the biz opp/MMO niche. I didn’t want to use it as I have been using Aweber for 15+ years.
As always, I try & test different sources of traffic. I was testing a CPL network and there were some scammers on there that sent me some fraudulent traffic. It was obvious fake names and email addresses entered manually.
Getresponse noticed this and they immediately closed my account. They also disabled the export feature and wouldn’t let me have access to my names list that I spent $5000 building. I deleted the bad optins like they asked me to, but they still wouldn’t let me have access to my account unless I put an annoying captcha on my optin form.
Doing that would piss off all my visitors and my optin rates would fall off a cliff. Getresponse could not understand that and still won’t let me have access to my account.
DO NOT, repeat, DO NOT ever use Getresponse. If you happen to get some bad names on your list (which is out of your control most of the time), they WILL close your account and they will not let you have a backup of your valuable names.
