GLD MYSCORE Provides credit scores to consumers Internet
*UPDATE EX-employee responds: Open your eyes and read the large print at the top of the page
*General Comment: Don't waste money with your bank
On July 7, I visited a website called GLD MYSCORE, paid $1 to check one score, and left the site. My July bank statement also included a fee of $28.95. I stayed away from the site and thought that was the end of it. In checking my bank account today, I found that I had been again charged by GLD MYSCORE for $29.95. I have notified my bank to block this debit from happening again.
This is obviously a fraudulent site and should be fined and put out of business.

#2 UPDATE EX-employee responds
Open your eyes and read the large print at the top of the page

As an ex-employee (was customer years before being employed with them and am still a current customer) I can say that this is not a fraudulent company that performs any scams or other misleading activities. They help a lot of people on the road-to-recovery from ID Theft and poor management of their finances.
We always would get customers like the one that wrote this report. Open your eyes and read the webpage, then go away if you don't like the terms. They are very simple terms. You pay $1 to get a free score and begin a 7-day trial. AFTER the 7-day trial you will be charged $29.95 for a membership...UNLESS you call in to cancel during the 7-day trial. Simple to understand. The $1 is applied to your first month of membership - hence the first $28.95 charge. Call the phone number to cancel or order less monitoring/consultation services for lower rates. Again - simple to place a call.
All of this information is at the top of the webpage and has been there for many years. It is also included in the Member FAQ section of the website. 'Staying away from the site and thinking the $1 charge is the end of it' (as the previous person wrote) gaurantees that the membership WILL start AFTER the 7-day trial - as stated on the website.
To blatantly state that this is "obviously a fraudulent company" is just plain ridiculous and it is obvious to me that this person can do no wrong in this life. Not accepting you made a mistake and blaming a company that places the terms and conditions directly on the website for all to see...
What is the legal definition of fraud?
Fraud must be proved by showing actions that involv five (5) separate elements:
(1) a false statement of a material fact
(2) knowledge on the part that the statement is untrue
(3) intent on the part to deceive the alleged victim
(4) justifiable reliance by the alleged victim on the statement
(5) injury to the alleged victim as aresult.
Since the company was up-front on their terms, it seems that the person that wrote this report appears to have committed fraud due to:
(1) - false intent by paying the $1 to start a membership that was never intended to be exercised
(2) - knowingly accepting their product usage under false pretenses
(3),(4) - intentionally decieving the company into thinking a genuine membership was requested
(5) - costs associated for setting up/closing a falsely obtained membership
In my opinion, the person that wrote this report should be fined and not allowed to use the internet again. This would prevent this person from continuing to commit fraudulent activities towards other companies, and not allow them to post misleading reports - such as this one - in a derogatory and slanderous fashion.

Some banks charge you to get your money back and it takes forever.
You should just call GLD Scores since they have a phone number on their site 855-331-9531.
This way it costs you nothing and the money goes right back into your account and you don't have to wait forever. Don't let the banks rip you off too!
