3/12/09 I received a check for $3085 USD (which covers Insurance, handling, duty and taxes fees) I need to reply by April 21st, 2009 to claim my $100,000 winnings. Global Financial Claim Services out of Houston, TX is on the letterhead. The first paragraph says I won 3rd grand prize for the National Geographic Sweepstakes. It was signed congratulations, Peter Ronin Executive Director Telephone: 1-450-369-0542 Ref.# PC-6020032 The area code is out of Canada too. Do I take it and report this to the post office or give it to our local police?

Rerport It as Mail Fraud

AUTHOR: DEC458@MSN.COM - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, March 29, 2009

I would file a police complaint and also report this as mail fraud. If you deposited the check you could be charged with check fraud.
