According to your contract, you probably owe the amounts stated by your financial institution. But what I don't understand is this: Why are people who obviously work for GM Financial, the company who absorbed Americredit, posting hateful remarks to customers that obviously have grievances against the company? You are not doing GM Financial any favors by making hateful comments, derogating a persons grammar, and making a point to make them look like a fool on the internet. Behavior like this is what gets companies sued. . .

Reporting GM Financial to the IRS probably isn't going to help. While the Obama administration has been sympathetic to customers that have been subject to predatory lending practices, such as extremely high interest rates, excessive fees, etc, they also are probably not your best solution to resolving this problem. I suggest that you write a well written letter to the BBB in Texas (the city that GM Financial is based out of), the Texas Attorney General's office or your state attorney general, the Federal Trade Commission, and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. If they cannot do anything to resolve your fees, at least they can look into improper behavior from company employees online. Americredit had a huge presence in both Florida and Texas, both of which are where these previous posts are from, so I would lean on the posters being GM Financial employees. It is completely imappropriate for companies to behave this way online towards customers, and it is one of the many reasons I will never buy a GM product again.

Really?? The IRS and the Obama Administration??? They could care less and fyi - most companies like this get audited all the time so I can assure you the IRS could care less that you screwed up.  I am in no way a fan of these low life companies but you are barking up the wrong tree.  The only one you have to blame is yourself.

PS I suggest you take a course in grammar and spelling.

Wow.  I'm sure that they'll be quite scared that you've chosen to report them to two places that likely would care the least about this issue.

" they are saying i own another 684.90 for haveing late payments over the 5yrs although iv paid a 19.50 late fee each time. "

My guess is that you probably do have an outstanding balance.   When you are late with a payment, there are two expenses.   One is the late fee (a penalty) and you also are required to pay the extra interest that was generated on your loan.  Extra interest would have accrued from the day following the day that your payment was due, until the day that your payment was eventually processed.    If you were late repeatedly, as you seem to admit, this could rack up quite a bit of interest that would indeed be due at the end of the loan.

Read Your Contract, Einstein!

You were financed by this SUBPRIME lender because you gave yourself a documented reputation of not paying your bills on time.  Then you are placed with Americredit and what do you do?  You CONTINUE to not pay your bills on time!  Isn't that a great, big surprise.  If you read your contract, you will see when you make LATE PAYMENTS like you did, you generate additional interest.  The additional money is that additional interest.  But just in case you don't believe me, give Barack a call and he'll be glad to explain it to you.
