I registered two domain names in the last week. I paid for both of them plus two months hosting via my Paypal account which I have had over 7 years. Yesterday, out of the blue, I received 7 total emails from godaddy saying I requested a cancellation of all these transactions, which I DID NOT do.
One of the domain names was not all that good but all I could think of at the time. The other one was a very unique one that I was surprised no one had already registered. Godaddy also accused me of defrauding them and not being the "owner" of the account I paid with. I paid with Paypal! They refunded all my money.
Now, the so-so domain is available again and I lost it. The unique domain name is now owned by, guess who, GODADDY! I firmly believe they are stealing domain names then covering it up by accusing the registering person of fraud. I tried to file a complaint with ICANN and/or internic.net, but they don't accept complaints about registrars even thought they are the one who govern them! It's madness.
There's some real dishonest things going on at godaddy and they need to be prosecuted. They flat out stole my domain name from me. Whatever you do, don't use godaddy. You'll be sorry. I checked google and found tons of similar compliants, come a carbon copy of mine. There's definitely a pattern.

Domain in limbo?

There is no such thing as a domain being in limbo. It is either registered or not. If its registered, no one else can take it (unless it matches a copyright or trademark of theirs). If it isn't registered, anyone could register it, including you via another registrar!

I got my domains back after going through hell

Godaddy finally made me send them a copy of my driver's license, then they straigtened the matter out. But it took a lot of emails back and forth with canned replies to get it done. Again, just do a search on "godaddy problems" and you'll come up with people who were done the same way as me. I ended up moving all my domains to another host. Even though godaddy is probably the biggest registrar and host out there, they don't support PSP/cgi-bin sites, which are the majority of the sites going online now. As for Jose from godaddy posting here asking me to give my domain name here, that would have been a stupid idea because it was in limbo and what kind of fool would display it for someone to steal? Godaddy is in way over their head and can't properly handle all their customers and aren't even keeping up to date with server requirements. You're taking a big chance registering a domain with them. There are plenty other choices and the others don't call you a fraud for no reason.

Why don't you put the domain name in your complaint so that it can be seen by everyone.
This way anyone who is able to look up the WHOIS info on the domain name can verify the validity of your claim.
It's very hard to back up a complaint without any type of evidence.
