GoDaddy Private Registration of Domain. Sign up at your peril.
Upon trying to cancel my private registration, which is expensive and which they put on auto-renewal, you are required to send via email a copy of your drivers license as an attachment. If you refuse to send, they will automatically charge your credit card for the full registration amount AND the domain renewal.
You cannot separate the two, and they've now held you hostage for an amount that is 3x the domain registration amount. They refuse to help.
Sending personal documents over the internet is an invitation for fraud.
Don't do it.
