GoGoBattery Refuses to honour warranty. Attempts feedback blackmail.

Yes, I know, another eBay shonkster... surprised? No! But I feel it has to be reported so that others might not experience the same grief I have.

On 18 May 2020, I purchased a pair of H4 LED automotive headlamp globes from eBay seller GoGoBattery. I made this purchase based not on price but on the advertised 5 year warranty. The globes arrived in good time, worked a treat, and I left positive feedback for the seller.

On 12 November 2020, one of the globes failed. The following day, 13 November, I messaged the seller asking if they could follow this up and arrange a warranty replacement for the failed globe. I was very reasonable and calm in my message and I included pictures of the globe, showing how almost all of the SMC LEDs had stopped working.

The seller ignored my message and ignored subsequent messages over the next couple of weeks so I decided to get their attention by purchasing another item and then messaging them from that purchase. It worked, they responded! I had explained the problem and their response was that they would only send a replacement when I left positive feedback for the new purchase. The way I see it, that'd be what we call "blackmail"





I have exchanged many messages with this seller and no matter what I say to them, it always comes back to me having to leave positive feedback for the new purchase before they will honour the warranty on the original purchase. 

Finally, I threatened them with reporting to eBay and to ripoffreport.com. They then sent me a freight tracking number. After a few days, the tracking number still didn't register so I asked what was wrong. They responded, yet again, that I must leave positive feedback for the second purchase before they will honour the warranty on the original purchase.

So here I am! One failed headlamp globe and seemingly no warranty as was advertised.
