November 27, 2006 - Had Transmission Flush, Oil Change and Full service of topping off of fluids in vehicle.
Dec - Had to take car to Mechanic due to back breaks freezing up, total cost was 648.00 with a deduction of 2 tires at approximately 220.00 Mechanic told me that the Master cylinder seal was swollen three times the normal size, most likely due to a foreign fluid being added to the brake fluid.

February 20, 2007 - Loss of breaks while driving to work had to continue to pump breaks to get stopped, this was very scary. Took car back to Mechanic, now the master cylinder is completely shot and the seals and hoses will need to be replaced. The bill will be over $1000.00.
Contacted Penziol Golden Lube (419-422-8473) to see if the Brake fluid was topped off during servicing during the Nov 27, 2006 visit, Domonic, the Manager at the store stated "yes". Dominic gave me the owner's name of Golden Lube - Jeff Beydeoun. Dominic gave me the owner's name of Golden Lube - Jeff Beydeoun. Told them that the gentleman at Carko - Carl is more than willing to explain to them what was going on with the brakes.
Called Dominic back to see if they had contacted Carl at Carko, stated that they did not and Dominic gave me Jeff's cell phone number.

Left a message on Jeff's cell phone (313-378-6767) due to no response back from the Manager at Golden Lube.
Jeff called, spoke with him and he assured me that there was no possibility of anyone added any other type of fluid into my vehicle that should have not been there. He offered to give me 5 free oil changes for my problems. I told him "No, I wanted my bills paid for" he said he has not done anything wrong and refused. Jeff stated that the tests on my fluid on my car came back clean. I asked him how he got access to my vehicle and he stated that when I brought it in he took a sample. I told him that I have never brought my car in for a sample to be taken. He said again that I had brought in my car to him and had him take a sample because I claimed that Golden Lube placed water in my brake fluid. I told him he obviously has other issue going on and that he needs to get his stories straight before making accusations. He invited me down to watch their process; I declined stating I did not need to see how it should have worked. I requested analytical data of the transmission fluid, power steering fluid and the brake fluid, Jeff told me to call his Secretary "Jill" to get these items.

Called Jill to get the analytical data sent to myself, she stated that she would. I let her know that it was not my car that the test came back on and that Jeff was obviously confused with another complaint.

Jeff called again stating the Mechanic was scamming me and that there is no possible way that water in the brake fluid would cause damage to my car. I repeated to him that I did not say it was water, I said it is some type of fluid. This is why I requested analytical samples of the Transmission fluid, Power steering fluid and the brake fluid used at their facility. He was screaming at me that he wanted the name of my Mechanic, I did not give this to him, it was given to his Manager Dominic. I told Jeff there was no reason to scream at me and at this time I was also getting loud with him, to defuse the situation, I hung up the phone on him.
Called Jill on 2/22/07 to see if the samples had been sent, she stated that Jeff told her that there would not be anything sent due to they are not responsible for anything.

Called Jeff asking for the samples again, he told me "thank you for hanging up on him and that I was very un-professional, I was trying to speak which I could not get a word in edge wise, I told him to please let me speak, he that I better not call him ever again.

No other oil change facilities used in the past year, the only place used was Golden Lube on Tiffin Ave, Findlay Ohio. Also Carko is supporting that there is another substance in my brake fluid, most likely Power Steering Fluid

This Response Makes No Sense

AUTHOR: JohnK - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, April 19, 2012

Uh, if someone put the wrong fluid in then saying you don't top off brake fluid makes no sense.  Because they may have thought it was the power steering reservoir so they may have put in power steering fluid.  Saying you don't make this kind of mistake is stupid.

2 sides to every story

AUTHOR: Delmonte - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, January 10, 2008

In regards to this complaint, first, we do not top off brake fluid, this is why I know we were not responsible for the claims. Testing was not necessary from our standpoint due to this fact. If we were responsible for any of the claims mentioned, I assure you it would have been resolved and taken care of. As a gesture of goodwill, I did offer this person free oil changes to demonstrate my appreciation for her business. We cannot be held accountable for an error that is not part of a service we offer. We value our customers and will always work to resolve any issue because we understand the importance of repeat business. With over 34,000 oil changes last year, we consider this testimony to the fact that we have many satisfied customers.

and get an estimate for repairs plus the cost of the analysis.
if indeed the foreign substance caused the problems, give a copy of the cost to the owner and take it from there. if he refuses, use the court system.

Get them to pay for damage to your car.

AUTHOR: Watchontime - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, October 20, 2007

You should get them to pay you for the expense you paid out for the damage to your car from them putting in the wrong fluid.

I am sure you should be able to find a attorney that would take the case for you.

I don't recommend any of the fast lube places at all, they are all trained to sell services that people do not need, that is where their big profits are.

Sorry to hear about your problem and I hope that the place paid you for the damages they did.
