*Consumer Comment: Where is the RipOff?
Had Good Sam GMAC insurance since 2009. March renewal amount was $5683. Got 3 comps: Progressive (2 agencies) at $3914 and $3337 and Allstat at $4966. Asked why rates 45% higher and not given explanation.
Just want to let others know about the GMAC rate ripoff. Be sure to get comps on all insurance.

I believe that exposing your Ripoff Report on the worldwide web was a good idea. If you type in 284134 at this site you can click on Ripoff Report #284134 and read what is posted in Consumer Comment #1. Here is part of what was stated in that consumer comment-
Quote: "Exposure is a corporation's worst fear." - November 13, 2007.
Ten months later, in September of 2008, Lehman Brothers collapsed and the stock market crashed. The financial system in the USA also melted down and one of the biggest insurance companies in the world, AIG, was on the verge of collapsing. You can 'Google' this- FRONTLINE: INSIDE THE MELTDOWN, and watch that documentary on the web for proof.
P.S. GMAC was part of General Motors. General Motors was also on the verge of collapsing in early 2009 and received tens of billions of dollars in taxpayer's money from the TARP. Have a great day, and make sure to spread your Ripoff Report all over the web at sites like Twitter and Facebook!

A rate increase is not a rip-off.

Where is the RipOff?

A company can quote you any price they want(within the guidelines of the insurance regulations of course).
So where is your RipOff Report on Allstate that was the 2nd highest? Why did you stop at only 3 companies? Where is your quote from AAA? Where is your quote from GEICO? Where is your quote from State Farm? Where is your quote from the probably no less than a couple dozen other insurance companies? What if they were higher than Good Sam would you have written a RipOff report on them as well?
