Government Liquidation aka Governmentliquidation.com aka Liquidity Services LLC, aka Government Liquidation, LLC, has the worst customer service I have ever encountered! They provide e-mail addresses that do not accept replys, they repeatedly lie or give false information on the phone just to avoid us and they take weeks to respond to both e-mails and phone calls.
We purchased medical equipment from Governemnt liquidation and the equipment was basically garbage. It should not have ever been sold or represented as usable equipment, instead it should have been scrapped. We received pieces of equipment that had been crushed, were missing components, and were completely inoperable.
One example of the equipment is as follows:
We purchased an x-ray unit, advertised as used. The pictures showed an x-ray unit in a green military style case, they had approximately 10 of these cases, each being sold seperately. We picked one of the units, bid on it, paid for it, and had it picked up and delivered to us. Upon receipt of the unit, we opened the green case to find it empty! There was no x-ray unit at all. We called government Liquidation only to find that they believe they don't have to inspect the property they sell. They said they represented it to the best of their ability! A green case was sold to us as an x-ray unit!!!! Unbelievable!

Similar problems occurred with every single piece of equipment we purchased. Exam Tables were crushed, iv poles were bent and missing parts....it is junk.

STAY AWAY FROM GOVERNMENT LIQUIDATION!!!

way more than gl making mistakes

AUTHOR: Mike - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, August 20, 2008

Its been my experience that gl will go out of their way to rip customers off.

many lots we have bid on based on the picture and description were not even close to what was sold.

example , micorwave radio set shown in orig boxes on pallet, shrinked wrapped and ready to ship,

cost me $2500 and $600 shipping, what we got was boxes that origonally were used to ship the sets, and had used pc power supplies in each one.

gov liq reply to emails with pictures showing what we got, too bad, the lot was delivered.

scary part of the deal is that the items required an euc ( form saying the items are military items and can not be exported and we are responsible for keeping track of where they go)

sooo, if feds come here to see the radar units, what do I have to show, empty boxes?

Will we let them pass the buck?

AUTHOR: Outraged2007 - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, February 08, 2008

I too have been abused by Liquidation Services (see my report filed in early January 2008 [the 6th I believe] and the outcome of my dispute.) I just want to add to the above comment and say that no one really blames Liquidation Services for selling junk.

But everyone blames them for selling junk and not disclosing it to potential buyers. Worse, their descriptions of items for sale are ambiguous at best if not outright willful misrepresentations. That's what's wrong. Blaming the government is not going to cut it this time.

Buyers who are far from the warehouses where the goods are located have no other choice but to trust the descriptions given by the auction houses. And they are easy preys for unscrupulous Internet sellers.

End of comment. I hope I didn't abuse this space and the opportunity. Thank you.

Govt keeps til it can't use

AUTHOR: Steven - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, January 08, 2008

Most people that buy things from liquidation sale end up stripping what they can and scrapping the rest. It is USED material. The government uses things as long as they are useful and then sells them. Some of the material may have some use but it is sold as is, that is the risk you take. Same goes with used government vehicles you see for sale. For the most part they are junk. If someone wants them bad enough they pay for it and restore them.
