I received an offer which I thought was the answer to my prayers to help me consolidate and get out of massive amounts of debt. However, after being told I was approved for a loan at 5.49% and an account manager would be calling me to finalize the details I got a call but nothing was mentioned about a loan all they wanted was to force and shame me into enrolling in a debt relief program. I was to stop paying my creditors and only pay them at 25%. They said that it wouldn't even affect my credit negatively yet all the documents I needed to sign said otherwise.
