In November of 2013 I met with Paul White, President of Greenovative Homes, LLC. to have Greenstar Hyper-Insulation Panels installed in the attic of my home in Auburndale, Fl. One of the reasons I decided to go with Greenovative Homes, LLC was the repeated claims by staff that the insulation panels were so effective that I could see a 50% saving on my electric bill. The installation of the panels was completed in December of 2013 and the contract amount, $7,200 was paid in full. Since the insulation panels were installed during the cool months of winter, it was impossible to determine their effectiveness. After the summer months of June, July, August and September of 2014 I made a comparison of the electrical costs with the same months in 2013. This clearly showed the product did not perform at all in that I saw no reduction in electrical costs (see comparison below and attachments ). I want to point out that electrical use in my home prior to the installation and up to the current time has remained exactly the same. There is nothing new or different as far as electrical devices which would impact consumption. In my case the product did not work as represented by sales staff. In my opinion, the exaggerated and fraudulent claims made by staff were completely misleading and deceptive. I find it difficult to believe that this product results in lower electrical costs for others when it provided absolutely no savings at all in my case! To resolve this issue, I requested Greenovative Homes, LLC refund the full cost of the contract in the sum of $7,200. This request was made via certified mail, return receipt requested which was delivered and signed for by the company President, Mr. Paul White on October 02, 2014. I indicated in the letter that I wanted a response within 15 days of the receipt of the letter before I requested assistance from other sources but have received no reply as to date. Greenovative Homes, LLC TECO Electric Bills 2013/May-June - $154.39 2014/May-June - $160.14 +$5.75 2013/June-July - $171.52 2014/ June-July - $184.49 +$12.97 2013/July-Aug - $190.99 2014/ July-Aug - $186.27 -$4.71 2013/Aug-Sept - $173.13 2014/Aug-Sept - $182.71 +$9.58

Typical Fabrication and Selective Blindness

It appears that Mr Paul White is delusional! I never said that I was suing my dentist, I have never sued my dentist or any dentist and have no idea what he is talking about. This is simply a fabrication to discredit me and my complaint against his company. He implied that I sued to get a refund in an attempt to impune my intregrity! This says a lot about Mr. White. I have much that would disscredit Mr. White but chose not to go there!
During the install I was told that someone would check back with me reference the installtion. Several weeks after that I received a call from a Greenovative Homes represetative asking for a recommedation of their product. I explained that the weather was still too cool and couldn't determine how effective the panels were. I asked the woman to get in touch with me after the following summer and I would be happy to discuse how well the panels worked. Needless to say, I never heard back from Greenovative Homes. I gave Greenovative homes an opportunity to address the complaint prior to contacting numerous cunsumer complaint web sites. The company chose to ignore my complaint until they were contaced by one of those consumer sites.
Selective blindness in that I said in my original compliant and I will say it again, there are no additional electic devices or appliances in my home which were not there prior to the installation of the insulation panels. My a/c is set at 78 and stays there all summer and the water heater is on a timer which was set for the same times prior to the install. We have not been on vacation nor had guests in our home during the time of the comparison of electrical usage. I have not misstated a single fact concerning this complaint, unlike Mr. White who fabricated the dentist story! I have electric bills to show usage and invite anyone into my home to show what electric devices we have. I will be happy to submit to a polygraph to show I am completely truthful when I say the Greenovative Homes salesman repeatedly said we could see a 50% reduction in electrical usage if we install the panels. I have nothing to hide and have only the truth to stand behind!

No Energy Savings?

The product installed in Dan Borah's home has been proven in over 200 homes to lower attic temp 40-80 degrees.
It also provided him with the same results that can be verified by anyone, anytime.
It is physically impossible for his AC cost to remain the same with a cooler attic.
If his electric bill remains unchanged it is due to many other varables that we cannot control.
Vacations, occupants, hotter summer, more electrical devices, etc.
That is why we can never make promises for reduction in savings but only use verified past results to show the products effectiveness.
In the last 3 years and over 200 installations we have seen the benifits that our product offers.
Mr. Borah disclosed at the time of the install that he was suing his dentist. Maybe his dentist refunded his fees to make him go away.
We had 5 guys working in his attic for a week installing a product that stops the heat from coming in through the roof. After all that work and product installed he recieved full value for what we contracted with him.
We strive to give excellent service to all our customers.
