The salespeople at Grupo Mayan will say anything to get your business including lying.  Dont go on this presentation.  First they take you for a nice breakfast and earn your trust.  We were there for about 5 hours not 90 minutes.  They guaranteed us that if we bought with them they would sell are old timeshare and rent out the weeks we dont use.  We had to pay an outside compnay to sell our timeshare.  Of course they never sold it and never will.  We have tried to contact our customer service rep (ernesto rhodes) and we have sent emails to the customer service email given to us but no answer.  Please dont trust this company.

Mayan Palace Timeshare Scam

AUTHOR: RoseW - ()

POSTED: Thursday, May 15, 2014

Most of the Mayan Palace Timeshare Scam being committed by the Sales representative is that they don’t let their buyers know they have a 5 days cooling period if they wish to cancel; instead, they repeatedly tell they buyers once the contract is being sign there is no cancellation period. Mayan Palace sales representative also offers a trade-In, letting the buyer believe that Mayan Palace is going to take their other timeshare and sell them for them and deducting the cost of their new timeshare with Mayan Palace, but at the end you end up owning two timeshares and payments due for Mayan Palace turning it into in a double Mayan Palace timeshare Scam

Mayan Palace sales tactics are FRIGHTENING. Seriously, they keep you there for hours and hours, trying to convince you to buy a worthless piece of paper for thousands of dollars. So, if you don't like being pressured, stay away from this resorts. I recommend you to read this article from Mexican Timeshare Solutions about the Mayan Palace timeshare scams:
