Guardsman Insurance furniture protection plan is a scam. That company does make it difficult for a consumer claim to get through all the hoops they create, and then they don't honor their insurance commitment anyway as others have noted here as well. This also reflects poorly on the furniture companies recommending them as did Powells Furniture in Fredericksburg, Va.
