If you're looking for a guild hosting service, don't go with Guildomatic. My guild has been using Guildomatic for the past 6 months and to say that they are frustrating is an understatement. The site it's self is very difficult to use, but we were willing to put up with it because we also had our Ventrilo services through them. The issue is that our Ventrilo service went down for 5 days. 5 days without service is totally unacceptable when I've paid for service. There support was absolutely no help. We ended up closing both our website and Ventrilo service and demanding a refund for the down time. We were advised by their support service that they were aware of the issues and that there Ventrilo service provider had an issue that caused the servers outage. To date, I've received zero response to my request for a refund.
Do yourself a favor, if you want to keep your guild up and running smoothly, don't go with Guildomatic.

After spending the most frustrating day dealing with this company, they issued the refund. I would never do business with them again nore recommend them to anyone, but that this point the refund has been issued.

Don't you just love the fact that they tried to backmail me with the refund. That if I'll remove the complaint they will refund my money. And even better. I've made it pefectly clear that they owe money for the failed service. And what have I gotten? NOTHING, ZERO!!!!!

I wanted to follow up on my previous post in referance to Guildomatic. Let me start by saying that my last contact with them was on April 2nd after both the website and Ventrilo service has been closed. You can see by the post, that they gave me instructions on how to close the service. I continued to ask for a credit for the Ventrilo service being down in excess of 5 day. The customer service rep has got to be the stupidest person I've ever met. If I've closed the account, it's only commone sence that I'm asking for a financial credit since the Account has been closed. How exactly is a credit of time compensation on a CLOSED account: Seeing as the idiot from Guildomatic didn't post the full story, I'll do it. As he said you're all are consumers, you be the judge of what a screwed up company this is.

Okay, it's goin on 24 hours with Vent being down. So now, I'm paying for a service that doesn't work. Either this is resolved today, or I will not be renewing our guild subscription with you.

03/31 07:50 Our Ventrilo provider is having a vent server outage due to a high-level network issue. We have posted a note on top of the trouble ticket submission page stating this.

03/31 08:01 This is TOTALLY unacceptable! I'm paying for a service that we cannot use. I frankly don't care what you have posted on your support forums. The bottom line is you collected my money and we are not getting the service that I paid you for. I would be a lot more understanding but this has been over 24 hours. I'm in the process of setting up our guild webesite with Guildportal and will not be renewing my subscription nor will I ever recommend you guy to anyone.

03/31 09:33 At this point, it totally doesn't matter. Guildportal is in no way associated with Darkstar. And their service is MUCH easier to use. So, given that my service is up in 12 days..............Good ridiance to Guildomatic is what I say.

04/02 17:44 You still have not address how much credit will be issued for the down time with Ventrilo. You know, this is a flat shame. I shouldn't have to keep pushing to get this finalized. If I do not receive some type of credit for the down time with Ventril, my next step is going to be to file and complaint with the Better Business B. and to join the rest of the angry subscriber is posting on the complaint sites about guildomatic. This really should be this difficult. You know that the site was down, just issue some type of credit and this as far as I'm concerned is a done deal. Or is it that you have not intention of making any type of effort to make this right?

We have done this for customers that were affected by the outage.

However, you've deleted your guild site and Ventrilo, so we are not able to provide a service credit.

My guild with with another service, and very happy. I have also filed complaints with ripoffreport.com and several other websites to warn potential clients to stay away. I take no pleasure in bashing Guildomatic, but I'm not going to let you screw me and not fight back.

10:21 I think I've made it really, really clear that I expected financial compensation for the down time. I paid for the service in money, not time. I would expect, that when you don't provide the service that I paid you for I would receive financial compensation not additiaon time. It really is the very same principal that the phone company works under. No service = financial credit. Not additional time on a service that has proven to not work. Your demand that I have service to receive a credit reall amount to extortion. There really is nothing more to discuss. You guys are a flat scam!

Typically in the service world, credit are issued as a service extension.

I'm happy to provide a refund for you. You were asking for a credit and it was assumed that you wanted a service credit.

We are not that cheap that we'd refuse to give you compensate you. But if you ask for service credits when you have no service with us, we can't do that. In no way was it absolutely clear that you were asking for financial compensation until our dialogue today.
