gurneys seed so many associated companies - owned by gardens alive, who also owns many other related and unrelated businesses....beware!!! Horrible, unreliable, no communication, refuse to cancel order.... Indiana

Consumers Beware!

This company needs serious restructuring.  All customer service has been outsourced to India.  The reps refuse or are unable to do anything except email your comments to someone else in the department.  I filed two complaint emails and NO response.

Placed a $250 order in February 6 for seed starting supplies and seeds.  Order said it would be received between 2/9-2/20.  It is currently 3/9/2018.  Last week I called and emailed both - and no response form emailing customer service at all.  Call resulted in a discussion with a gentlemen in a call center in india.  He sent an email to shipping for status update - after one month!! 

After that, I received an automated response from shipping saying that my order had been released for processing.  ONE MONTH later...  that's ridiculous. So this email said that released from processing means that once your "zone" opens your product will ship - and I was waiting on seed starting supplies, not plants!!

I called again today, as I have received no other communication in another 10 days.... and now told that one packet of seeds that was backordered held up the entire order.  but because it was released for processing - they couldn't cancel it!  I said - it clearly hasn't shipped yet - so cancel the entire order.  He told me that he could NOT.  I then told them that I would refuse the shipment and they needed better customer service.  He told me it's up to me if I want to refuse the order. 

Unveleiveable.  this has been a most frustrating experience and now its too late to start seeds.  NEVER AGAIN.  Please join me in letting America know that they should NOT order from this company!

6 weeks now total for some seed starting trays and seeds...and no sign of shipment or any communication at all.   I will make every effort to let everyone know that they are wasting their time and money with this corrupt company who has been bought out by Gardens Alive, and they own a host of other companies and could care less about customer service. 

I attempted to find a US based office to contact re: my concerns, without luck.  No contact information can be found on line at all - you have to wonder about a company that hides that kind of information.  Your only option is to talk to india and they are limited to the ability to email some other department in the company.  No way to go to a higher level in the organization or obtain an alaternate email or phone contact within the US.
