I purchased a vehicle from Halverson Motors a couple months back. I was recently divorced and this was my first car purchase at a dealership, and my only vehicle broke down. I went to Halverson, and they talked me into purchasing a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica. I took the car for a test drive and it seemed fine. The tire sensors were on, the salesman told me they would fix this. I got out to look in the back, and all of the sudden the automatic hatch failed. Almost crushing me. They said they would fix this, after the loan funded.

I drove the car home, and the check engine light came on, I immediately called them and they again said, this would all be fixed after the loan funded. The finance manager text me and said that if the bank called I could'nt tell them anything was wrong with car, otherwise "they won't give me my money."

Six days later, the finance manager finally got back to me and said that he messed up on the financing contract and I had to go back in and sign a new one. I had to take time off to go get done. When I arrived I asked again about the repairs, again, he reassured me that he would make the repairs, AFTER FUNDING.

Three weeks went by, after numerous text and emails, and the finance manager told me to bring the car in. I again had to take time off to go drop the car off and pick up a loaner car. After three days, he said the repairs were done. The hatch was not fixed, the check engine light was off, the tire sensors were still on. He said they had to order the parts, and would call when the parts were in.

After driving the car that evening, the check engine light came back on, but this time it is also leaking something. I immediately reported this to them. I took it to them the next day. They returned it to me with the hatch fixed, and check engine light off again. But this time they told me I had to pay for the tire sensors. I informed him that I have written correspondence stating that they would fix it.

Driving the car home that evening, the check engine light reappeared AGAIN. I text him and said I wanted to cancel the transaction, he said I was not entitled to a recission. I immediately contacted the funding company, well come to find out the finance manager is friends with president of the funding company.

They refuse to cancel the transaction, and now are threatening collections against me. I am currently filing a report with the state banking agency and with the Better Business Bureau. I am also looking into the Lemon Laws in Arizona. If anyone has any information, I would appreciate it.

Do not purchase anything from these unethical people at Halverson. They are untrustworthy and will rip you off.

 a second time.

You should also have googled "Arizona lemon laws"  Here's some of what is on their site...

Your car is covered by the Arizona Used Car Lemon Law if a major component of your car breaks before the earlier of 15 days or 500 miles after you buy the car.

If it breaks, you’ll still have to pay up to $25 for the first two repairs.

The recovery for the consumer is the purchase amount paid for the car.

Good luck, you'll need it.
