*REBUTTAL Owner of company: Order on hold due to credit card fraud risk alert, we are an honest business!!!!
I bought on 18 April 2008 via the internet from this company. Money was debit from my Visa creditcard the very next day. Since then I had no response after many request's to the Sales and Customer Service department for a shipping number.
In fact, they did not respond to any of my e-mails.
Hampton Essentials have a very nice website and that made me believe that they were a reputtable company, which they are NOT!!!!
If you do bussiness with them you will lose your money!

This is no honest business, its funny that this is the only place I have been able to find the owner..
Since you obviously read ripoffreport owner of so called "honest business", where is my money? .. or just the product I ordered three months ago, and how come I have not been able to contact you in person, nor has anyone responded to my emails?
Shame on you and shame on your company for claiming to be honest, consumer beware!!

I am the owner of HamptonEssentials.com and I can tell you that our company ships every order that meets our automated fraud risk verification requirements. Many e-retailers do this. All of the big companies screen their orders. South AFRICA happens to be a mecca for credit card fraud. Africa in general produces the world's most credit card fraud out of any nation. We as a company have been burned many times by scam artists. That is why it is our policy ON ALL INTERNATIONAL orders to send an e-mail to the customer requesting proof of identity ( picture id and a copy of the credit card scanned and e-mailed to us). If you don't send us the proof we won't send the merchandise and we refund the order as we did in this case. I ask that this website take down this bogus report immediately!
