**LICENSE EXPIRED IN 2012** Went to file complaint with Contractors State License Board today. Turns out "Happy Sam" and all the folks who use his license number (924844) are relying on a license that expired in 2012. Worker's comp and bond expired in 2011 -- (so if one of Happy Sam's guys gets injured in your home, you are on the hook. Originally called this outfit because of a leak on second floor. Guy named "Alcid" (not Sam) shows up, demands nearly $300 and knocks a big hole in our ceiling for "testing." Says he will come back to finish in a few days. A few weeks on, he still hasn't shown up. We text and call to try to get him to come back. Makes all sorts of excuses and never shows.
