Harbor Freight 20% restocking fee on defective pump.. Reading Pennsylvania

Why are you so hostal? You don't know me yet you seem to know all about me. The pump was used to pump water. The instruction manual says nothing about what fluids can or can't be pumped. Did you read the manual? Respond if you like. I will not waist any more time with a company schill.

 Also whenever there is a restocking fee there is ALWAYS a sign. Normally right where you can see it by the register. Its NOT their fault that YOU couldn't be bothered to read!! See businesses started doing this for a VERY important reason. They get tired of people like you. People who more then likely either got the use out of the product or during its use broke said product by using it in a way its NOT supposed to be used then bringing a used or broken item back and getting the FULL amount back. Its unfair to the business because THEY are the only ones loosing money. YOU get back everything YOU paid but the business now has an item they CANNOT sell. If its been previously used NO ONE will buy it!!! But people like you NEVER think of these things. As for YOUR issue, WHAT were you pumping.

I see YOU omit the substance YOU were trying to pump out. Little known fact for you, just because its a liquid DOESNT mean the pump is rated to pump THAT liquid, If the pump was designed for WATER which has a lower viscocity then say motor oil, and you try and pump something through it of course its going to burn out. Too much of a load for the pump to effectively push out. Its going to put a strain on the pump. Then when YOU have burned the pump out, YOU EXPECT every dime you paid for it back. Knowing that YOU are in essence SCAMMING them to get a refund. So the restocking fee is to get back SOMETHING!!! Did you perhaps think that its OK to use something then bring it back after your job is completed?? Perhaps YOU should just admit that YOU were using the pump for something its not designed for and EAT THE LOSS!!! I find it HIGHLY doubtful that the pump "Just burned out". When is the American Consumer going to learn to act like an adult??
