After Hurricane Harvey, we had to vacate our house.  I was told by CPS and FEMA that we could no longer stay there as it was in unsafe condition and I already knew this but CPS and CASA only gave me one day to find a place for my Grandson and I.  We had to stay in a hotel close enough to school so I could get him to class each morning and pick him up in the afternoon.  He was only 8 at the time.  When I found Harbor Shores I thought this would be okay because it was doable.

I told them when I moved in that FEMA would only allow me to stay until my home was habitable. I guess I should have paid closer attention because the leasing agent (Mandi) was laughing about charging some ex-tenants $175.00 three times because they were unable to get rid of some type of insect that was in their apartment but little did I know, she gave us the same one., #4103.  It was a nightmare from day one.  I cleaned everything, went and bought a steamvac to try to get rid of the bugs.  I went to Texas A&M outreach close to Airport Rd.; my legs were eaten up with bites.

They gave me a suggestion on what to try; I had to pay for everything myself.  Their suggestion did not even faze the bugs.  I spoke with the neighbors and they said they had tried everything including something that cost upward of $2000 and still had the problem.

I spent hours and hours and more than $700 trying to find something. Texas A&M asked why the apartment people were not coming to them instead of just me.  I asked Britni Brown, and she told me that I needed to find out what they were and get rid of them and when I told her they were coming under both doors and into the apartment she said she did not care how they were getting in, just find out what they are and get rid of them.

In April 2018, I also gave her a copy of the letter from my doctor saying that I needed to get out of there. When FEMA told me I needed to come home, I was more than happy to comply.  Had to quarantine everything I had there, leaving me with nothing again.  CPS and CASA took my grandson from me because I CASA employee Lisa Gedman lied to judge and I was not allowed to tell the truth about contact with my Grandson's Mom, my daughter.  I was never told where he is and I don't ever get to see him or communicate in any way.
