Harris and Burke Financial Samuel Everett scam, thieves, liers, fly by night.. ann arbor, Michigan

This company told me i was approved for a secured loan in the amount of $8000, however since I did not have collateral said i could make the first 5 monthly payments up front, totaling $1200. They also stated that my money would be deposited the next business day.

I was very concerned when i could not find any information on this company any where on the internet, good or bad, so i started digging even further. When I posted something on yahoo answers asking if anyone had ever heard of the company, i got a reply from a gentleman who claimed to have done business with them.

He stated to me that he sent this company somewhere around $800 and that he was required to send the money western union to Barcelona, Spain. After they received the money they told him that he needed a larger down payment in order to approve his loan. And he still has not seen any of the loan that he was promised.

Harris and Burked Financial seemed to be a legit company, the guy i talked to on the phone, and the contract that he sent me all seemed very professional. These guys are good.

I just want to make consumers aware of this scam company and what they are trying to do and stop it before too many people fall into this trap. Lucky for me, I had enough sense to research a little before I sent this company any  money, but as I am sure we are all aware, not everyone would do such a thing.
