HBG Publications ripoff dishonest advertising fraudulent billing Diamond Bar California

We live in British Columbia Canada. My 25 year old son is disabiled and has been looking for the last year for some work to help support himself and his wife. They are Bruce and Anna-Lisa.

Bruce phoned me two weeks ago to tell me about an ad he had read in the local paper. It was from HBG Publications and gave a 1-800 number to call if someone was interested in stuffing envelopes. I told Bruce that if they asked them to send money - it was probably a fraud. They didn't ask for money via the phone - just his name and address. A week later information came in the mail, making everything sound so exciting - imagine - stuffing envelopes and making 7.00 per envelope. (If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is and it was)

They were to send in $40.00 by money-order, check or cash.

I did some research and found that what appeared to look legitimate, wasn't.

It worries me that this is now in Canada. I am hoping that you have Canadian contacts that you can warn.
