 As great as HNA sounds to them I have been unable to get them to state their real purpose. It seems like there are willing to give the insurance industry get reduction in fees without any service provided to the doctors, such as direct PPO referrals. When a patient has a health plan they contact their network not HNA for a provider, which is readily available on line. If you were a member of HNA and not direct with the insurance you would never get the referral and thus when the patient comes to you he did but a alternate source, but now you are stuck giving a discount, sometime a hefty discount.  I only see HNA as a benefit to the insurance industry, like other plans out there like Corvel, and Multiplan, which are not primary networks and will not be sending you any patients, but will give the break to their insurance. I am tired of giving my hard work away for such a reducded rate. Good Luck. Hopefully others may soon follow suit and drop this discount type of network conjobs.
