Heart of Texas doodles Amanda Kamody Kept my deposit on a litter that was never happening Fort Worth Texas
*Consumer Comment: Possibly
Discussed in October 2017 with Amanda that I’d be putting a deposit down for a mini Australian bernedoodle to be due in January 2018. I saw Via Facebook that the mother Bernese was pregnant and I was Really excited. She didn’t tell anyone she switched the father out from a mini aus labradoodle to a Moyen poodle. I complained that I didn’t want the size being bred and she claimed they will be same size when they won’t. I said I didnt Trust the process and didn’t want my deposit forwarded to another littler because who knows if she would do this again. She didn’t reply and she blocked and ghosted me so now I have No future dog and no money back.

I don't know about Texas or how you made a contract with the person. However, normally the dog breeder can't keep your deposit money if you decide to properly get out of the contract. Have you signed any contract? If not, is there any rules posted on their site/page about no refund on deposit? If not again, you may take the dog breeder to a small claim court. To me, it is not reasonable for the breeder to keep your deposit (no refund) if the person did not follow the exact promise but rather changed it in the middle along the way even though there may be a verbal or informal written contract (via messenger).
If you want to file for a small claim court, you will need to search (online) for where you can file (depending on county/location you are at). The court fees usually are small (less than $50). Though, you may try this approach if you really want to.
