They stole my condo from me.  I was not at the condo, but did own it outright, with no mortgage.  About $1,000.00 in association dues were due.  Instead of notifying me, as they are legally required to do, they used a forced sale.

I was never notified of this forced sale, as texas law requires.  Additionally, I was never compensated, at all, for the fair market value of the condo, which was roughly $70-80,000.00

Instead, the hearthwood condo association has stolen the condo, while denying me the proceeeds.

So you are saying that they could legally take your condo worth 70,000 (give or take) for the $1000 that you owed them?

What happened to collection agencies or judgements? Who ever heard of such a thing?

Read over your contract very carefully and get a real estate lawyer involved. I would most certainly pursue this in court, to get either my condo back or the extra $69,000 that is rightfully yours.

There must be more to this story.
