Heartland Dental Failure to pay landlords Multiple Maryland

Heartland Dental is a very large company with nearly $1.5 billion in revenues and they are owned by a large investment firm. On March 31, 2020 Heartland sent an email to all its landlords that they will not pay rent. In spite of having legally binding lease agreements they just don't pay. It not unusual for commercial landlords deal with tenants  that need a little help now and then. But tenants always respectfully make a request as opposed to the Heartland approach.

The Heartland approach is arrogant and wrong. Everyone is experiencing difficulty right now but this does not entitle Heartland to just screw its landlords. Most landlord of Heartland are small family owned business and are not is a position to take a financial hit like this. Particularly when Heartland is very large and it primary institution partner has deep cash reserves.
