Helio Inc. Continued to withdraw "membership fee" from my bank account after contract cancelled Los Angeles California

I had cellular service with Helio and changed cellular services in the fall of 2007, yet Helio continued to withdraw funds from my bank account for a membership I was no longer using. I discovered the unauthorized withdrawal of funds in February or March 2008 and contacted Helio. It then wanted to charge me a cancellation fee. I told them I wouldn't pay the cancellation fee because the amount that they had continued to withdraw from my account already exceeded that fee.

Helio's collection agency hounds me for payment. I wrote and faxed them a cease and desist letter today.
