Hilltower Credit offered a loan but required first payment and insurance Internet
*Consumer Comment: Hilltower Credit - Major Rip Off!
*Consumer Comment: Scam
Hilltower credit offered me a loan. Then asked for first payment and insurance money for the. I paid the agent said 24 hours to deposit loan proceeds but it never happened. The loan agent said my loan was audited by the government and I need to pay the audit fee and taxes on the loan, I did not pay this and asked the lady for my money back but never received it. At first very nice but now no answer to calls or emails...

I was almost a victim of this company. I came so close to sending money to this company for a loan. Thank goodness my gut told me not to. The lady I dealt with was Sylvia Franklin. She tried assure they were not a scam company, that they were person to person lending...I backed out and told them to cancel my application. Unfortunately I ran into another company that was similar to this one and foolishly fell for their scam. I was scammed out of $700! NEVER send money for a loan. I learned my lesson the hard way.

This scam has been around a long time. A legitimate loan company will not and cannot require money upfront.
