His & Hers Shine Inc. Mr. Sherman and Ms. Akesha, bait and switch ripoff scam

My 19 year old daughter made a cash(money order) purchase of a 1994 Midnight Blue Honda Accord at a "guoted price" of $3200.00 on Thurdsay July 19th with the first deposit of $200 being given on Wednesday, July 18th and the contract was written. On Thursday, the contract was marked paid in full. For nine days the seller Mr. Sherman and Ms. Akesha, owners of His and Hers Shine Inc. would not release the car. The excuse they used was that the money order had not cleared. I visited the store on Tuesday, July 24th and was told by Akesha that the money order would be clear by tomorrow (Wednesday) and that the car would be available to my daughter on Wednesday (July 25th). Additionaly she stated to me and my other daughter that we had nothing to worry about that the car was my daughter's. My daughter called the store on Thursday and was told that "had she called earlier she could have picked the car up and that she should come to the store at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow (Friday, July 27th) to receive the car.

On Friday, we received a call from the store (again the speaker was Ms. Akesha) and she indicated that she must relay this message to my daughter the buyer only.

My daughter telephoned the store and was told by Ms. Akesha that Mr. Sherman said that the car listed on the contract was not the car he sold that this car had a higher value that the price she paid. The car is a 1994 Honda Accord. The car they took our money for in fact the 1994 Honda Midnight Blue Accord.

I feel that had this not been the case the company had at least seven day to contact my daughter and explain that perhaps the staff made a mistake but no they waited until the day that my daughter was to pick up the car to drop such a bomb shell. This is not fair business practice nor fair to any one let alone a 19 year old. I feel that His and Hers Shine should honor their contract.
