Filter Queen - HMI ripoff I grew up working in all of Filter Queen, and know EVERY dirty secret Seven Hills Ohio

I have worked with Filter Queen Vaccuums since I was a little over age 10, and I am much, much older now.

The company originally had a very heavy duty product that contained a 2 speed FIVE wire motor, which had (on high speed)107 cubic feet of air flow per minute.

In the back of a number of customer owners manuals (typically the 1993-95 machines)the warranties list that if the motor ever went out the customer would never pay more than the fixed price of $59.95 for a replacement.

What the owners manual doesn't tell people is that around the 1994-95 period, the company swithed to a 2 speed *FOUR* wire motor which (on high speed)moved only 64 cubic feet of air flow per minute. (Nearly of half the previous air flow)

I know many, many other dirty small-time secrets the company has (like tax evasion by happening to have their computers and all records stolen every year or so) but this is the only one I ever contemplated forming a class-action lawsuit on.

All offices were always encouraged to "pay off" the Better Business Bureau just so "we" could tell people "we" were members.

Everyone whom I have ever known to sell, service, or own a Filter Queen sales office has never actually worked for the company. They are technically all independent contractors, because the manufacturer dosent have to pay unemployment, and isnt held liable for any fruad from the sales people.

Even so, I was "fired" for disobeying a direct order to push inferior products (like the 4 wire motor with almost half the power of the ones the reputation was built on)

I now own the largest independent vac service business in the mid-west (wisconsin), speciallizing in Filter Queen vaccuums.
