HMS Plumbing Plumber Ripoff Artists at $400.00 Per Hour Woodbridge Virginia

I have used HMS Plumbing for several years for all of my plumbing/gas line needs and have been 150% satisfied with each employee every time they have come out to do work for me. The quotes have always been accurate and fair, and never have I had one of the employees come unprepared for a job. I was completley flabbergasted to hear that you were so unsatisfied; I can't even believe it at all!

All of the young men that have come to work in my home have been polite, professional, hard-working to get the job done accuratley as well as speedily; and I have absolutley never had a problem with the Master Gas-Fitter! He came to my home 2 years ago in winter and was so knowledgeable and honest, which is why I continued my business with HMS Plumbing. He was an absolute gem!

I would have to be in complete defense of HMS Plumbing, and hopefully my message can counteract what Gary had said...

The people who stop payment are the same ones who regularly bounce them. They are the same people who have no integrity, nor any sense. They want their own garbage parts used, and then complain about the installation when they fail to perform.

Consumers Beware of HMS Plumbing! They are so arrogant and used to ripping people off that they believe they are always right. Yes, I tried not to get cheated out of $400 but found that paying them and warning others would be the best policy. There are other Master Licensed Gas Plumbers in the northern Virginia - DC area. The Plumber who came to do the job right spent a few hours and charged a fair $225.00. He not only did the job safely, but brought his own tools and fixed the fireplace by replacing old bulky fittings with the right sized ones and did not charge extra. BEWARE OF HMS PLUMBING!!!

HMS Plumbing provided a phone quote - flat rate of $385.00 to "Gary" prior to setting up an appointment to install a "Customer provided" gas log set. This price included removing the old set, and installing the new set by a Master Gas-Fitter. We do not charge hourly, or separately for each part or portion of a job performed. "Flat-rate" quote is just as it states. "Gary" set up the appointment with full knowledge of cost.

The 7-year licensed Master Gas-Fitter went to "Gary's" house with all necessary parts and tools to complete a customary/typical install. "Gary", per signature, authorized our work with cost quoted before beginning. HMS Plumbing installed the log set provided per instructions and with additional parts required by code. The product, Megaloc, is certified (ANSI/NSF 61) for use for Natural Gas. "The log set "Gary" purchased was defective. "Gary" signed our invoice as "Satisfactorily Completed"; and wrote us a check for full payment; as he knew in advance that we can not be responsible for products "he" purchased.

"Gary" waited 8 days and then put a "Stop Payment" on the check he wrote. He made no attempt to call our company to discuss this matter; he simply decided not to pay us. We performed all service contracted to do.
