I had the mis fortune of losing my phone. I called the number and a woman answered. I explained I was the owner of the phone, I'm so glad she found it and I need to get it back, and was extremely grateful. This is where it got weird. The woman talks with someone in the background and I heard "It's the lady about her phone". They talk for a while (I couldn't hear them) and when she came back she asked me to describe the phone, which I did, including the fact it has a message on the screen with a number to call if it was ever lost and someone found it. She said that was correct and went to have another discussion with someone in the background (another woman). When she comes back she says "well here is the problem, do you know where this phone was found?" I said "no, where?" then she says, in an accussatory manner (as If I was doing something tawdry!) in their men's room of their hotel. I thought she was talking about the one I was staying at and that perhaps it fell out in the lobby so I said "the D***?" and she says "No, the Holiday Inn". I said "wow that's weird, I assure you that's not where I lost it, someone must have picked it up and left it there, where are you located?" She then asks me if I can prove it's my phone? I said "I just described it to you and can unlock it, additionally I have business cards with the number on it and my ID, where can I meet you to prove it to you?" She then went to taalk for quite some time with the other woman in the room with her and came back with "Here's the problem, we found it in the men's room and there is a man looking for it" This was the first time she said anything about someone else inquiring about the phone. I told her I can prove beyond a doubt it is my phone if she can just let me know where she is located. She then goes on to say "that's not their policy that they will have to call the police". At this point I thought that was going to extremes but didn't really care because I still thought she was planning to return my phone. I told her that was fine, I have no problem with discussing the return of my phone with the police, where again did she say she was located? What hotel again? She again says "It's not our policy" I said "what do you mean, it's not your policy to tell me what hotel you are or where you are  located?" Then she refused to repeat the hotel name or tell me where it was located! Not only that but when I asked to speak with a manager she said she WAS the manager and hung up on me! CLEARLY this woman was not at all interested in returning the phone. I firmly believe the thought at this point she was getting a new BlackBerry. This was the point when I realized I'd better find that Holiday Inn quickly and get the police involved if I was ever to see my phone again!

Logically were she the manager I doubt she'd have been conferring with someone else in the room.  I remembered she had said it was found in the Holiday Inn men's room so I googled the nearest one and went there. I asked to see the manager from the front desk lady. The female manager came out front and I told her I was there for my phone. She then called to someone on her walkie talkie that "That lady is here about her phone" so I knew I was in the right place.  They were very shocked to see me, let me tell you! Then I called the police myself. As I waited for the police to arrive they two women continued to argue with me about whether or not it was my phone, despite all the ways I could prove it and then then tried to get me to LEAVE without my phone and before the cops arrived, after admitting they had my phone and were the people I was speaking to. I refused to leave until the police showed up. I had to file a formal police report about these two women and have complained to corporate about this incident. As I googled complaints I found others regarding the female manager there, refusing to return lost items and being very rude to anyone who requests she look in their lost and found. Something needs to be done about this place, STAY AWAY! The police report is: 132***8 I have a corporate complaint out about these two as well, that number is 4200****
