On Feb. 10, 2009 I paid $1595 for residential loan modification negotiation services. As of April 2 they have not delivered any negotiation package to my lender. Their website is now down and no one is answering any of the various phone numbers for Diener Law Firm or Home Relief Services.

ME RIPPED TOO

AUTHOR: Merippedtoo - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, May 18, 2009

I was also ripped off by HRS. Now the diener law group. Also read report#444522. I did get ahold of someone today at 714-333-7888. Not sure how long that number will be good either. After being on hold for quite some time the receptionist said I could contact someone at Deinerlawgroup.gmail.com. Well gusess what that was a false e-mail. If you look on this site there is alot going on in Irvine, Calif. I contacted the California Bar a*s. They called me back with a Lawyer who is suppose to call me tomorrow. Well I'll see how that goes. They have owed me $2995.00 since November,2008. They no longer have half the employees who use to work for them. The Lawyer is Ramone Gonzalez (((ROR redacted))). Give it a shot. I will try anything to try and get my money back. Next to flying to Calif.

Home Relief Services ( got their license taken away)

AUTHOR: Scambuster - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, April 06, 2009

Sorry, I had a lawyer friend look up this company and he told me that the Dept. of Real Estate took away their license. They are probably looking for another company to take them over. In the meantime, they have a person answering the phone and telling everyone everything is going to be okay. I wouldn't leave him any messages though because no one from Home Relief Services will return your calls or email. Luckily, I paid with my credit card, so I filed a dispute and they are working on getting all my money back. I also think you can take them to small claims court if you paid them another way. If someone out there has any more information about what we should do, please let us know. Good luck!

Read about how to spot and avoid Loan Modification Scams on the Federal Trade Commission Website

AUTHOR: Laurie - (U.S.A.)

Excerpt from the FTC website - there is more there READ IT AND PROTECT YOURSELF!

Phony Counseling or Phantom Help
The scam artist tells you that he can negotiate a deal with your lender to save your house if you pay a fee first. You may be told not to contact your lender, lawyer, or credit counselor, and to let the scam artist handle all the details. Once you pay the fee, the scam artist takes off with your money.

Sometimes, the scam artist insists that you make all mortgage payments directly to him while he negotiates with the lender. In this instance, the scammer may collect a few months of payments before disappearing.
