I also have had my go around with The Money Store. We secured a loan for a barn with the parcel of land the barn was to be built and the barn itself. TMS recorded the deed on the residential property by fraud. They sold the loan in arrears to Lafayette Financial AKA Alamo Mortgage. I advised them when presented with foreclosure that the wrong parcel nunmber was on the papers. Don and Wayne Powell convinced me not to take action as I was refinancing into one parcel. They assured me they would not proceed. They did and now we are in court to the tune of $140 an hour!
