In answer the hope program did hire people to work from home and pay them on an hourly basis.  I currently work for the company in a WFH position out of my home and I make ten an hour.  There have been a lot of changes in the company and new systems in the last few months and we are no longer hiring.  But trust at the time you filled out the application it was a actual position you where going to be hired for.  I have been working for them since January and although I am not extremly happy with the new changes and some of our deceptiviness that we put across to the public.  It does allow me to support my family and be able to be home and take care of them at the same time.  Would you have been happy it depends in what you where looking for in a wfh position.  If it was flexibility in scheduling and making your own hours then the way things are now no you wouldn't be happy.  But you can rest assured that your info was going to be used for purposes of hiring you.  I filed out all of those same forms you did when I first started with them and it was a real position which because of all the changes and things going on we aren't hiring anylonger.  I was told by my manager that during the transitions to new systems  a lot of applications and information got destroyed so this might have been while you never recieved calls back.  I know they have never used my infomation for anything other than pay so I can tell you that your information is fine.  If the calls sound computerized that is because we do our calling through an automatic dialer program on the computer so it is digatalized which can cause it to sound like that.
