I have been looking at internet software in the last few weeks to find a way to add income. I had already spent money i didnt have, (with promise of 60 day money back) and was waiting to hear from one of them for one on one training.
when i received a call from Horizon Learning, i thought that they were the trainers.. However, i have since learned that even though when i asked them if they were and they didnt say yes or no... that they are NOT affiliated with any of the companies i had already signed on to.
i am easily swayed by good and even not good sales pitches and they had me early on.. i even volunteered information that i NOW regret saying .
however, i was told i passed the first test and sent on to the first guys 'boss' and set up the whole thing - promising to pay 1140.00 of my savings and to 'borrow' 3000 of HIS own money.... i was told that when i signed the contract i would have 3 days to change my mind with no penalities and i told him i would not want to change my mind.
However, my family was NOT happy with my decision and long story short- i wrote an email the very NEXT day to request a refund and deletion of my contract. of course i was phoned immediately after sending it by the same man who had convinced me the day before and like i said.. i am a sucker for a sales pitch and once again agreed to stay.
the next day i tried again and this time i was adamant that i wanted to get my money back and not go into this business... i was told i had made a commitment and promise and he was NOT going to let me go back on my words.. that was on friday.. it is now tuesday... i called and tried to talk to him yesterday and he never answered the phone OR returned my call...
all i can say is that it May be a legitimate business and it May be something worth getting into to make money BUT i feel that when a person - any person changes their mind and requests it to be rescinded it should be done NO QUESTIONS ASKED or at least without the drama of trying to stop!!!

Believe me, these companies are out to scam people and they are. They are making millions off of people who fall for their lies. I'm sure you hear them say, "You're not working hard enough" "You're not putting in enough time" etc... it's the plan. They set you up for failure. S C A M!

update on first report filed on april 17

i would like to add to this report because i believe in being fair and honest. I went to my bank the following week after leaving messages with no reply. i figured they would be my best bet to help me.

I was put in touch with a consumer problems department who after listening to my story said they would have to call them with me and find out what was happening.

We then talked to a man who almost immediately said - noo problem and also said it should have been done when i first called and requested it.

when asked who he was i discovered it was a person i had been told by the salesman would be contacting me and who had given me 2 separate 'appointment' times when he would call. I then mentioned this to him and was told that the salesman had not done his job correctly.....

I had a confirmation of a return in my email inbox when i got home and 2 days later the funds were refunded to my account.

i just want to say that i feel this company IS legitimate in what it is selling HOWEVER, they need to be a bit more flexible and less HARDCORE in trying to KEEP customers who may have had a change in thought and action.

THIS IS NOT A LEGITIMATE BUSINESS, IT'S A SCAM

Do not trust these people. If you have tried to cancel and they wont let you... believe me, it's a scam. Before your time is up for your refund, send them a certified letter in the mail, keep your receipt from the post office to make sure they got it.. if you paid with credit card, start a dispute right away. If you need help call CR Consumer Resources @ 888-563-5558. I am betting that this company is connected to one called Insiders Edge and PMI who run out of Utah. They have scammed thousands of people with their bogus coaching etc... it's all a LIE!!!!!!
